i had the loveliest past 3 days. it feels so christmasy and festive instead of nua-ing at home for the past few years in the build-up to christmas... (bo bian, during sch days, decs are always sch breaks...) i am overwhelmed with all the love and enjoying it thoroughly. :)

anyway,on monday we had our annual gift exchange despite having just met a week ago.

ali got me a lovely musical box which plays OVER THE RAINBOW. its especially nice listening to it late at night when its cold and dark... somehow it has that heartwarming effect on me. thanks ali! rest of the pics are here.

back in the office, we finally had our christmas caroling performance to raise funds for chaoyang school. my first time doing such a thing, so public some more... a little nerve wrecking but the process was super fun! i think i am going to miss spending lunch times with all the pple in choir the most. we bonded over glupping down our food at record speeds, rudolf the rednose reindeer, frosty the snowman and i saw mummy kissing santa claus. ha ah aa. on the second day we even had this ex staff dressed up as darth vader to ring the bell as we sing. and i received lots of goodies from my colleagues. mostly little packets of sweets and cookies. bt its the thought which counts the most. they even took the effort to wrap things up nicely... for the next few weeks i am going to get high on all the sugar rush. ha aha ha.

we had half the day off on christmas eve and a few of us from my department went over to francine's place to play mahjong and xbox. shiok! it certainly let me get to know my colleagues better. we are all fans of "little nonya"!!! ha aha a. (oh yeah and that day me and winnie were so crazy we actually stayed in office till ten just to watch it...)
