taipei oooh laaa PART 1

we took 800 over pics in 4 days. that equates to an average of 200 per day. which is hell loads of pics! heh, the camera really loves us. i enjoyed taipei sooo much. of course, all the beautiful memories we had of the trip cant be fully replaced by the pics but nonetheless.... here they are! eh jo, dun attempt to photoshop ur face in ar. ha aha ah.

status: checked in and all ready to board the plane. exploring terminal one departure area. well,as u can see, we can get pretty narcissic at times. taking pics with our blogscreens at the free internet booths! ya and check out the very professional itenery done by the ever so efficient alvin. we were all impressed!

status: boarding the plane, preparing for take off. freaking excited. me and poon were practically jumping up and down.took our own sweet time on the " connecting tunnel" (watever u call it...its just the thing which connects the plane to the building.) apparently it costs 24 bucks on ur airport tax k! cannot waste.h aha. and if u look closely at the second pic (yup the one with the air steward in the yellow life jacket) he's actually a contestant from project superstar 2. his name anson i think. talk about having a small world. of course he didnt win la. or not why will he be serving us on the plane.

status: madness! we were playing UNO, talking rubbish, singing songs, snapping away, playing with me and poon's cushions. in other words, trying to kill time. poon's marie head totally look retarded on us k. the view from the plane was beautiful. i had some pressure probs towards the end of the flight. altitude sickness i think. gettin all dizzy and uncomfy. poor ali had the unfortunate experience of watching me puke 3 times. wa aha. sorry bro! and my unltimate heart pain was when i had to order mineral water for 3 bucks! wtf. not like it is mountain dew or anything k. just plain bottle water, with super ugly wrapping some more. i feel so exploited. and in the end, i still puked all that out. tmd.

status: first stop --> the popular night market. read shopping. h aha a. and food. tonnes of them in fact. we sampled loads of stuff. never shared so much food in my life with other pple b4. ha. the food there are cheap and good. portions are huge. taste wise might be a bit different. needed some getting used to. ok, i should mention tat not everything was fantastic. ie: the smelly tofu. like its name sake, it really stinks k. big time. sort of a mix btw sewage and urine. can smell it a few metres away. look at the expression on ali's face. i couldnt even get near to it long enough to appreciate it. was eating with a pinched nose. thank goodness its not popular in singapore.
many interesting stuff to see, buy and do. not much of a culture shock maybe cos we are still chinese. but me and poon were very amused by their accent, imitating at every possible chance. their english is also pretty problematic. spelling errors everywhere. poon reckons that even i can do better.

ha, and i need to introduce ELMO and COOKIE. our new traveling companions --> bags me and ali bought for 5 sing dollar only. they turned out to be our best purchase at shilin. multi tasking. further posts will testify to it.
