today, i express my utmost gratitude to a very important man in my life. this amazing guy taught me some of the most important values in life - to pick myself up when i fall, to see the light in my darkest moments and to learn to love myself more. he's a man of a few words, always prefering to show his concern through actions, yet he was always there for me when i needed him. he taught me how to ride my first bicycle, he told me animated bed time stories when i was young so that i go to sleep with a smile, watched cartoons with me while waiting for dinner to be ready (though i know he'd rather be doing something else). ha. and as i grew older, he would sit with me while i mugged hard for my exams just so that i would not be alone, he would get up in the middle of the night to close the windows when it rained so that i slept peacefully throughout, he would stay up to wait for me when i had to go home late. the many little instances he showed his concern for me while trying to upkeep his figure of authority (HA!), has made me come to respect and love this man even more over the years. i dunno wat i'd do without him and hence, i wanna say i love ya daddy! thank you for everything in the past 20 yrs. happy father's day. :)
