met up with my sec sch mates, haoting and clarice at novena hong kong cafe for dinner. its so good to catch up with each other after so long. and this is probably the last time we are seeing haoting till half a year later cos the girl is going hk for exchange! boo. i am gonna miss her loads. still remember i used to practically hang out at her place during the hols way back in sec one-- loitering around the old emporium at kovan, having mac milk shakes and cheap western food near her place. sigh, those were the days man. cant believe time passes so fast. ya and the laksa at the hawker centre near her place used to be so good my mum would make me da bao it all the way back from kovan for her. i think the store is no longer there anymore. :( and ya, me and haoting are probably the only two left in these world who still write long long letters to each other the good old fashioned way. although the letters have become less over the yrs, nonetheless i still look forward to receiving her letters in my mail from her. and i made the girl promise to write me a letter from hk! ha aha a. and speaking of clarice, she's still as cool as ever. from mere acquaintances in CO to best buddies in BAND, we would always go for eating snake breaks durin band prac, and plot how to make my conductor's life miserable. yes, we were tat naughty. aha aha.

and for 2 hrs there, we were reminiscing the past and updating each other on how we are doing. talking with them made me realise how much i enjoy being a CHUNG CHENG KID!!!!!! wh aha haa. maybe its the school culture,but we do sense a great deal of belonging to the school. in some way we all agreed that despite being branded a "communist" sch ( ha, i have no idea where tat came from, probably cos we are a chinese sch.... we are so cheena we even say our pledge in chinese on alternate days. haaha.), we have our own unique langauge and spirit we never see in other schs. even our sch uniform with the seven metallic buttons rocks k!!!! ha aha. the best times of my life was spent there by the lake and i made alot of fantastic friends. we sorta look at each other grow up over the years, always looking out for each other along the way. ahhh, i miss the school so much! a haaah.

and the 2 of them surprised me by getting me a cake from celede bakery. they pre-celebrated my birthday for me by singing a birthday song in the cafe....and hence making me so pai seh....aha ah. no candles though but i am still incredibly touched that they made the effort to remember and come up with the surprise. no way had i expected it cos my birthday is still quite a few days away. thanks girls!!!!!!!! my birthday wish for the day shall remain a secret between the three of us k. :)

here's the yummilicious cake. ok, there are actually two pieces. haoting says its branded. ha aha. and they are gonna be my breakfast for tomorrow. yum yum.
