finally caught BOURNE ULTIMATIUM (click for link) at cineleisure with shawn this afternoon. one word to describe the show is WOW. man, i was sure blown away. from the moment we entered the cinema it was non stop action. think jackie chan movies but with a more sophisticated and more up market twist. cool! exactly my type of movie. now i understand why the reviews for it was so good. great plot, fantastic sound effects and awesome graphics. i declare this my fav movie in a looong time. its been so long since the days of FACE OFF and THE ROCK have i seen such a mind boggling show which kept me in suspense for the entire 111 mins. i always thought sequels would be cheesy spin offs to ride on the popularity of the previous one but boy was i proven wrong. BOURNE ULTIMATIUM is a kick ass movie justified in itself. u dun even need to watch the previous two to understand the plot lor. (but i went to borrow the 1st book at orchard library anyway later in the day though i heard it does not follow the robert ludlum novel that closely... ha aha) and i thought joan allen did a fantastic job as pamela landy. i like the fact that they didnt portray all the female leads as poor felines waiting for the knight in shining armour to rescue them. the ladies in the show were as powerful and independent in their own rights, nt just mere subordinates of the egoistic baddies in the film. esp like the part where pam told noah vonsen to go hire a lawyer. waha ha a, so cool la! am certainly looking forward to part 4. i hope they make one soon. BOURNE BETRAYAL. wa, even the title shows full of promise.
