Mugging away in school library with poon today. who says i am not a good student? loads of catching up to do. 2 mid terms coming when school reopens. shucks. and i am still clueless with one of them. plus project meetings, i guess i will be spending most of my week in sch. so much for mid term break heh? snaphots...

check out my matching pipes...ha aha , ok matching highlighter and sweet. btw i think the body building ad for mocca is damn hilarious. ya dun ask me why i painted my nails yellow. i just like them that way. makes me happy for the whole day. bright and cheery. :)
motivation post-it notes....wha ha aha. me and poon aspire to be on the dean list. as if that's even possible.
anyways, i spent the whole of yesterday being a true blue nerd. doing research, completing assignments, revising lectures, editing stuff blah blah. true blue nerd and proud of it. wha haa ha.
my good ol trusty STONE (creative mp3 player) accompanied me throughout. realised my taste of music have changed a lot over the short span of a few yrs. yes, i have been through the I-LOVE-SPICE-GIRLS-AND-BACKSTREETBOYS phase, but that was in primary school, which is like NOT very long ago (pardon me but i prefer to think of myself as still young. ah aha) running through the list of songs on my stone, i realise i do love contemporary jazz, chinese pop, r&b and... oldies. shit. lots of ABBA and CARPENTERS in my stone. nice wat! and somehow the lyrics in the past seem much more meaningful as compared to the ones these days where i cant even make head or tail of. and its so catchy, its so much more easier to learn, and hence hum along. my kbox mates aka PAAI shld know of my limited capabilities at remembering lyrics and so, the shorter the better.
being cantonese and loving my daily dose of home brew soups, i also love my canton music. from the likes of jacky cheung, andy lau and eason chan to sammi cheng and joey rong. whoa. somehow i feel that their songs got more substance leh. most of the time i don't understand what they singing although i can speak cantonese more or less fluently, they always dun make sense to me in songs...maybe cos their lyrics are too lyrical (for the lack of a better word). what works for me is the amount of emotion going into the song and how each word seems to flow to the next so naturally. and so they end up sounding so much better than their chinese counterparts.
all this talk is make me craving for kbox again. think i shall reward myself at the end of the week for being such a hardworking girl. ha. for now, the lect notes are beckoning again. ta
