happy birthday to my dear ms poon! finally ur turn to be 21 heh?

went with shawn and poon for k box in the morning yesterday. pre exam therapy. ha aha ha. damn shiok, just wat i needed before all that dumb studying starts... ya and so i wasnt feeling very guilty about it la. a ah aha ah. and hor, we decided that shawn shall be our new k box kaki ! that guy can sing la. we were very impressed leh. poon, disown ali ok, he dun want us liao.... ha aha ha aha.

and after tat, it was getting ready for OPERATION SC (surprise cheryl). ha aha, after weeks of planning, finally materialised. whew! carrying it out was not the hard part, it was the need to keep it a secret and all the preparation which drove us crazy. had to alliance with tonnes of pple, made dozens of phone calls and make back up plans so many times cos the initial one had to be changed. it was not without its hiccups, but well, it was a birthday surprise well done. :)

before i narrate wat happened, gotta thank a few impt pple who made it all possible.

1) aunty susan poon. ha ah a! poon's mother was such a dear by conspiring with us, helping us out with the preparation and making sure we dun go hungry while doing so by providing us with food. super nice mum u have there poon. well, of course my mum is great too la. aha aha ha ah a.

2) kk. who had to be my alibi for not going out with poon so that me and jo could go and buy stuff for the surprise. and for simply being the bestest friend cos he agreed to help me get the pics from jurong point to city hall cos our very blur jo forgot to collect them. i was feeling very guilty for having to disturb him cos he's studying for a very impt exam, but was super touched by his willingness to help. a friend in need is a friend indeed. so well. thanks alot! (though in the end it was jo's kelvin who went to collect the pics instead...)

3) jonathan. aka the spy. who had to put up with my constant smses throughout the day and making sure poon got back not so early and not too late to enjoy the surprise. ah aha.

ok, back to operation SC. i was the first one to turn up at poon's place, followed by jo and then ali. we decorated her room until very nice lo, even i am very impressed with our artistic talent. strung cut-outs of butterflies all over the room ( cos poon likes butterflies though i personally dun have much of a liking....), balloons ( ok, ali has very huge lungs cos he blew up all the balloons in super fast time), picture board with all our pics and a banner proudly proclaiming that ITS A GIRL! ha aha ha a.

and me having chicken rice dinner at the stupid hour of 9 plus...hungry...

we are a very efficient bunch of pple and so by 9 plus, we were done and sitting around waiting for poon to be back. poon's mum so nice, let us sing karaoke on her house system. wa double shiokness in a day.

i swear ali only has one pose while singing. we been to k box a few times and every pic we take of him singing looks exactly like this. and poon ar, can u like go and up grade ur songs to newer ones not... all so retro one. all ali's and jolyn's era one lor. ha ah ah. age gap....

and then, its time for the surprise! it was one hilarious situation after another while we lay in ambush. all the "i hear the taxi coming" which inspired the heroes talk, " i see your cone sticking out" which resulted in me lying on the floor... and the funniest of it all, ali's 只许成功不许失败 line which was so classic la. every once in a while he has to say something really freaking funny. (all insider jokes btw...)

and hor, that ms poon really damn bo xhim can, say we kup her house things to use. no lor, although we were like on a pretty tight budget, WE NEVER KUP THE BUTTERFLIES FROM YOUR HOUSE LOR. wha aha haa haa. idiot. and poon is more narcissic than me can... her pics are like all over the room lor.

ha aha ha, this last pic is a copy of what we did on the plane to taiwan. poon and marie. poor ali have to impersonate the cat so many times. ha aha ha.
