headed down to the singapore children's society care centre at henderson this morning. i signed up to be a volunteer with them a few weeks ago. my job was to teach them tuition. we were assigned one kid each and my kid is this p5 boy called weilong. super talkative and short attention span. one moment we were doing math prob, the next moment he asking me about my supposedly lemon barley drink. (and guess wat, kangkang, he half thai too k. but so much cuter then u la. wa ha aha )and kids nowadays are so smart k. and i think its due to the syllabus. do u know they are learning some bio plant stuff which cheryl says comes from her sec 3 text book? when my kid asked me this particular question with this pic of a flower i was stuck. and it was so paisei k. cos i didnt know the answer at all and had to ask his class mate. but wats a filament doing in a flower?! and wat the hell is ANTHER huh? the only sciencey thing i remember was photosynthesis k. and during my time, if u can spell it u already considered quite smart. lucky i was born 20 yrs ago. if i was born 10 yrs later, i think i would have prolly been the last in class k. the stuff sch teach now so cheem la. imagine wat they learn in sec sch if they are learning all these now. and then my kid said this to me: "jie jie, u know why today is a bad day? cos yesterday good friday take away all the good already." i was like huh? but that was so cute la.... coming from a pri sch kid it was just so adorable and innocent. but if any of u are going to say that to me, i am just going to tell u dun be lame k. and so, that's the good thing about being a little kid. u get away with making stupid comments and even get branded as being cute.

after that me and cheryl headed down to national library to do project. although it meant work, i always look forward to project meetings with my PADAI. cos it equals to hell lot of rubbish and more fun. nonetheless we are a very efficient bunch. managed to finish the work we supposed to do despite all the crap. and alvin ar, i dun want say him ar. made this funny hand sign while HEH HEH HEHing. some where between a machine gun look and...er i dunnno how to describe la. but it was so uncalled for. and so it prompted us to spoof him. wait till i get my hands on jolyn's video. ha.

part 3 of the evening was dinner at pasta mania. we were missing limchinfen though. cos she had to do project. :( and so PADAI became PADA... the meal was ok at first but i should say the food standard at pasta mania seem to have dropped over the years. the riot began when we started playing this mimicking game with straws. alivina was in creative mode over drive today with all the arm pit hair and wolverine thingy. the rest of us were just too tickled to think of somethin smart la. and so after gettin stuck for sometime, we decided to play this number game instead.u need good math for this k. and the loser who hat trick had to forfeit. and the forfeit was this wierd concoction of tabasco sauce, cheese powder, chilli powder, salt, pepper...and who knows wat went in there. after lots of sabo-ing each of us got to "savour" the thing k. it's freakin awful la. saltish and hot. and as alvin keeps insisting, it was numb. ha ha, devi keep giving the screen saver face and well me and cheryl were just plain grossed out by the mixture. lets just hope i dun get diarrhoea. yes, and devi too. your fortune teller not accurate one k. damn my nose still having this funny feeling. its like a constant sneeze about to break out. its the chilli powder i think. one period of time during dinner i was talking in a accent cos my nose was blocked. cheryl claims it is more sexy. ha a. well, hope it becomes better tomorrow.good night for now.
